Davidson Kempner Capital Management: Davidson Kempner, a hedge fund managed by Thomas Lenox Kempner, just disclosed ownership of almost 1.1 million shares of ROI Acquisition Corp II (NASDAQ:ROIQU), a filing with the SEC showed. In this way, the stake in ROI Acquisition Corp, which represents around 6.5% of the company, has a value of $11.9 millon, at the current price of company’s stock. This is a new addition to the equity portfolio of Davidson Kempner.

ROI Acquisition Corp II is a blank check company. The company announced about its IPO on September 16, offering 12.5 million shares, at a price of $10 apiece. ROI Acquisition Corp II is involved in purchasing businesses with a focus on industries such as consumer products, retail and restaurants. Earlier this year, ROI Acquisition Corp. merged with EveryWare Global, Inc., a company specialized in consumer tabletop and foodservice markets.

As follows, the hedge fund holds a $54.5 million stake in Metlife Inc (NYSE:MET), which contains 1 million shares.
