Could Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) Windows 8.1 Finally Meet Expectations?

When Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) Windows 8 was finally released to the public, some were glad at what they saw while many came away unimpressed. This was a big hit to the company, as it hoped that its new operating system would take the world by storm. Of course, all was not lost and Microsoft has a lot to build on moving forward.

Gartner recently took a closer look at this story, giving some more information on why this could be a big change for the company:

“Microsoft recently announced some features of the new user experience included in Windows 8.1 including Start button functions, the ability to boot to the desktop and Internet Explorer (IE) 11. Microsoft has not yet disclosed other features, but said that Windows 8.1 will be a free update from Windows 8. Windows 8.1 is expected to ship in time for holiday device sales.”

As you can see, there is some hype being built around the Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) Windows 8.1 update. Are you going to get everything you were hoping for from this update or will MSFT come up short once again? It is safe to assume that there is no much room for error, so you can expect the company to leave everything on the table.

If the Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) Windows 8.1 update is able to solve some of these problems, it would go a long way in making users feel better while also helping the operating system gain stability moving forward.
