Billionaire David Tepper Sold Some Apple Inc. (AAPL) For Citigroup Inc. (C) Last Quarter

We actually think that it might be worth keeping an eye on these two companies given that there is a reasonable bull thesis in each case: converging to book value for American International Group Inc (NYSE:AIG), and a more aggressive cash policy for Apple. Citigroup Inc. (NYSE:C) seems worth a closer look from a value perspective, though the same could probably be said of other large banks including JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM) or even Wells Fargo & Co (NYSE:WFC). The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company (NASDAQ:GT) is a riskier pick, and we wouldn’t place too much faith in analyst expectations, but certainly the forward valuation is low enough that we would want to follow its progress in cutting costs.
