At Computex, Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) Will Stay Focused On This

While nobody knows exactly what to expect at Computex, there is a good chance that Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) will keep its focus on one thing: Windows 8.1.

This is the next big thing for Microsoft, so it only makes sense that they do their best to show the world what it has to offer.

Microsoft Corporation (MSFT)course, this is not that much of a change from the past. In previous years, Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has focused on Windows related products at the event. And it appears that this year is going to be more of the same.

Here is some information from Digitimes, talking about what to expect from Microsoft along the way:

“This year, the new corporate vice president for Microsoft’s OEM division, Nick Parker, will be making a presentation, while Tami Reller, corporate vice president and chief financial officer & chief marketing officer for Windows, will personally attend. Reller and Parker are likely to reveal further details of the launch of Windows 8.1, which is planned for late 2013.”

It will be interesting to see if Reller takes the stage to introduce Windows 8.1. This is what most people are expecting, however, regardless of who takes the stage to talk about 8.1 it is safe to say that there will be quite a few people paying attention. This is a big step forward for the company, as it is hoping for big things from its operating system moving forward.

Although Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) does not get as much ink as some of its competitors, such as Apple, the company continues to move forward in a slow and steady manner.

CEO Steve Ballmer has been pulling the load, which included a visit to “China last week to personally attend the China launch of Microsoft’s open cloud platform Windows Azure, which officially went online at the start of June.”

If Ballmer shows up it is safe to say that Microsoft realizes the importance of the product.

Whether or not Ballmer shows his face at Computex this year will be a surprise to most. Nobody knows for sure if he will be in attendance or not.

To a certain extent, it doesn’t matter who shows up from team Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT). What matters is that the company is able to put its Windows 8.1 operating system in the best light possible.
