Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) UK News: Rail Web Site, New Lockers

Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) has opened its Lockers service at nine Spar grocery retailers in the U.K., with plans to open more in the future. This gives customers who bought items on the Amazon.com Web site to either pick up or return those items at Spar stores. Amazon.com has Lockers service available at other retailers like Martin McColl and The Co-op.

“This is a highly innovative move from Spar UK, showing our commitment to launching the latest technologies that provide the best possible convenience to shoppers,” said Barry Wallis, retail development controller for Spar. “This is the next step in making our stores even more service-friendly,” as this service adds to free wi-fi and mobile-phone charging among its customer amenities.
