Dogan has a Ph.D. in financial economics with a specialization in insider trading. Dr. Dogan has provided consulting services to institutional investors and hedge funds, and managed a $200+ million fund using a strategy he developed utilizing insider transactions. Dr. Dogan recently authored the insider trading chapter of "The Handbook of Investment Anomalies" by Zacks Investment Research.
Jake is an Assistant Editor for Insider Monkey, having written for WealthLift, Inc. and the Motley Fool before joining our team. In the spring of 2012, Jake graduated Illinois Wesleyan University with a degree in Economics and Business Administration. Marshall Hargrave has spent the last four years running an investment advisory firm. His experience is comprised of security analysis, including equity research, and portfolio management. To the investor's table, he brings diverse experiences in science, medicine, and publishing, along with several years managing his own portfolio. He has also served as Editor-in-chief of Elements, the undergraduate research journal of Boston College. Brian also enjoys classical piano and an occasional round of table tennis. This coming 2012-2013 school year, he will be working as a teaching assistant in the Faculty of Languages and Literatures at the Katholische Universität, Eichstätt--about an hour north of Munich. At the same time, Brian will be applying to grad school in the coming year, looking to focus on cognitive theory and philosophy of technology and mind.
Eric Winter has been involved in the capital markets for over nine years, trading and investing in retail, proprietary, and institutional capacities. His first exposure to the stock market was listening to his mother tell the virtues of her company, Lucent Technology, and all the stock splits the company was going through in the late 1990s.
